The 2016 AIA Resolution Is Here

Effort to Enlist 250 Co-Sponsors Starts in Boston Next Month

Help Pave the Way with a Donation!

Dear Friends,

I am thrilled to announce the unveiling of a new resolution to be submitted for consideration at next year’s National Convention of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), which will be held from May 19 to 21 in Philadelphia.

Earlier this year, a group of 55 AE911Truth petition signers who are members of the AIA submitted a resolution calling for the AIA to support a new investigation into the destruction of WTC 7. At the annual business meeting, an overwhelming majority of the AIA delegates voted down the resolution — yet it was our most productive convention ever in terms of raising awareness of the need for a new WTC investigation.

We came away from this year’s convention with three important lessons, which we’re now applying to the 2016 AIA Resolution Campaign:
  1. Put the evidence IN the resolution. Some of the delegates, particularly those who spoke adamantly against the resolution, were ignorant of the facts. Putting the evidence in the resolution will raise awareness and preempt the misinformation.

  2. Be more direct. Everyone knows this is about appealing to architects on a moral level to blow the whistle on NIST’s preposterous explanation for the destruction of WTC 7. Our message needs to be about that.

  3. Build support well in advance. Now that we have more time to prepare, our goal is to enlist 250 AIA co-sponsors and encourage them to attend the convention.

Our new campaign incorporates each of these lessons to the fullest. Without further ado, I invite you to read the resolution.

The Road to 2016 Starts in Boston

Our effort to enlist 250 co-sponsors starts next month at the Architecture Boston Expo — “ABX” for short — held from November 17 to 19, where we will aim to recruit at least 50 new co-sponsors. Attended by 10,000 building professionals, ABX represents the perfect opportunity to kick-start our 2016 AIA Resolution Campaign.

What’s more, I will be presenting the facts about WTC 7 on ABX’s Learning Stage, where AIA members will receive continuing education credits for participating. Speaking at a regional industry event is a tremendous honor, and I am grateful to local architect Henry MacLean, AIA, for helping to arrange it.

As always, attending large industry events is an expensive undertaking beyond the reach of AE911Truth’s normal operating budget. I ask you to please contribute generously. We must raise $15,000 by next Friday, October 16, to cover the cost of exhibiting.

Your donation will help AE911Truth pay for our 20-foot by 10-foot exhibit booth — directly across from ABX’s largest learning stage (where I’ll be presenting) — as well as booth accessories, 4,000 new brochures, 2,000 DVDs, travel expenses, and the cost of mailing regional AIA members invitations to attend my presentation for continuing education credits.

Finally, if you live in the Boston area and would like to volunteer help at our booth on November 17, 18, or 19, please contact events@AE911Truth.org. We’d love to have you be a part of launching our 2016 AIA Resolution Campaign.

Sincerely yours,

Richard Gage, AIA
