Last week we announced the launch of our upcoming AIA Resolution Campaign
and our audacious plan to send a mailer
to 50,000 members of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), inviting them to sponsor the new resolution.
Six days in, we’re pleased to report that more than $8,000 of our $50,000 goal has been raised — enough to reach 8,000 architects, already a huge number!
We are tremendously grateful to those who’ve contributed so far.
How Much We Raise = How Many We Send!
At this rate, we just don’t know yet if we’ll raise enough funds to contact all 50,000 AIA members. What you need to know is this:
We will send as many mailers as the amount raised by December 15th. At a minimum, our goal is to be able to reach 30,000 architects, i.e., one-third of the AIA membership.
Will you help us get there?
For every dollar you contribute you’ll reach one AIA member. And with a donation of $25 or more ($30 for non-U.S. residents), you’ll receive your own copy in the mail. In other words, you have the power to reach dozens of architects and receive a souvenir of your contribution to this important effort.
Since July, AE911Truth has been reaching out to AIA members
grassroots style in order to build support for our resolution that will be voted on at the AIA National Convention next April. It calls upon the AIA to officially support a new WTC 7 investigation.
The result of our hard work is that we now have 175 sponsors with two months to go before the submission deadline. That’s almost twice as many as last year’s total (and over three times as many as the 50-member threshold needed to submit a resolution)!
Our goal now is to at least double the current number by sending our eye-catching campaign mailer
to as many AIA members as possible, along with a prepaid business reply card
that recipients can mail back to us in order to add their names as sponsors.
In addition to recruiting hundreds of new sponsors, the mailer will inform tens of thousands of architects about the collapse of World Trade Center Building 7 and the critical work of AE911Truth — thus increasing support for the passage of the resolution next spring.
At only $1 per recipient, this mailing campaign is a highly cost-effective investment, considering it will reach such a large percentage of the AIA membership. Please donate by the December 15th deadline if you can!
We thank you for your incredible support of our efforts!
